Gentlemen This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. M. S. Kidd and K. W. Whitt of this office on June 12-15, 1973, of the activities authorized by AEC Construction Permit No. CPPR-57 for the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 facility, and to the discussions held with
.
Mr. G. H. Miller and other members of your staff at the conclusio,n of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection included previously identified outstanding items, preoperational test procedures, completed preopera-tional test results, your plans for implementing your zero power physics and power ascenrion test programs, functions of the Safety Review Conmittee, and procedures for operation. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with plant personnel, and observa-tions by the inspectors.
t No violations or safety items were identified within the scope of this inspection.
Regarding discussions concerning inclusion of certain additional plant systems in the Unit 1 Final Safety Analysis Report Q-List, it is our imderstanding that you do I;;t plan to incorporate those systems into
,
the Q-List. This matter has been referred to our Headquarters for their review and evaluation. We will inform you of the results of this review and evaluation.
