INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-269/91-13, 50-270/91-13 AND 50-287/91-13 This refers to the motor-operated valve team inspection conducted by U.S. NRC Region II at you Oconee facility from June 24-28, 199 The inspection consisted of a review of the program you developed in response to Generic Letter 89-10 "Safety-Related Motor-Operated Valve Testing and Surveillance."
Areas examined during the inspection are discussed in the enclosed inspection repor At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the repor The team concluded that you had developed a strong program in response to the generic letter. However, a number of matters of concern were identified. A written response is requested to six concerns denoted in the Summary of the repor Please inform us in writina within 60 days of your planned actions and schedule to address these concerns. These concerns are discussed further in report sectio In addition to the concerns referred to above, the team identified a number of strengths as-well-as several concerns which do not require a response at this time but will be examined further during an inspection of implementatio of your program. These are also briefly mentioned in the Summary and discussed in paragraph 3 of the inspection repor In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Roo The responses directed by this letter and the enclosed Notice are not subject to the clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of. 1980, Pub.
