Safeguards Information Program The inspector reviewed the licensce's corporate procedures and records, interviewed personnel, and inspected Safeguards Information (SGI)
repositories for the Word Processing Document Control, Drafting, Quality Assurance,NuclearOperationsgroupsandYankeeRoweProjectrecordsto determine whether the licensee s corporate program for the protection of SGI meets the NRC's regulations (10 CFR 73.21). The inspector's review encompassed the types of information being protected, physical protection (in-use and in-storage), markings, access, external transmissions and automatic data processing systems.
No discrepancies were identified.
3.
Access Control - Personnel The inspector revies'4 i the licensee's corporate access authorization program for granting employees unescorted access to the Yankee Nuclear Power Plants.
The inspector verified, by a review of corporate procedures and records, that the licensee has a program to confirm the trustworthiness and reliability of corporate employees. This program includes checks on employment history, education history, credit history, criminal court records, character references, military records, psychological and medical evaluations, and drug and alcohol testing results. Some minor discrepancies were identified by the inspector.
These discrepancies primarily involved a lack of attention to details in documentation of background investigations and were not programmatic.
The licensee implemented immediate corrective actions to have the discrepancies resolved. The inspector determined that the licensee's corrective actions were appropriate.

Exit Interview The inspector met with the licensee representatives listed in paragraph I at the conclusion of the inspection on February 9,1990. At that time, the purpose and scope of the inspection were reviewed and the findings were presented, i
