Refueling Procedures
.
_
A Ilealth Physics Refueling Manual has been compiled specifically for the current shutdown. The manual was completed on April 29, 1974 and consists of-newly written and approved procedures as well as
,
incorporating certain applicable existing procedures. The inspector observed a portion of the refueling operation both in the vspor container and the spent fuel building.
An observation of the procedures in effect showed an apparent conformance with the man-
,
ual requirements.
-
.
.
Controlled areas were clearly marked with step-off pads. Entry into the vapor container was controlled with a tag board, RWP posting and HP technician log book. Protective clothing and dosimeter require-ments were observed to be strickly followed.
Contamination and radiation levels were clearly posted and up-to-date.
Portable air samplers were operating in the vapor container and the spent fuel building.
