With this letter, Vermont Yankee (VY) is providing notification of a changed regulatory commitment made in response to Generic Letter 2008-01, "Managing Gas Accumulation in Emergency Core Cooling, Decay Heat Removal and Containment Spray Systems."

Specifically, in Reference (1) VY made the following commitment:

"Submit, to the NRC, proposed changes to the VY TS based on the final, approved version of the Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Traveler for unacceptable gas licensing basis."

This commitment change was evaluated in accordance with Entergy's procedure for implementing the industry guidance contained in NEI 99-04, "Guidelines for Managing NRC Commitment Changes," and determined to not impact nuclear safety. No NRC action is requested on this issue. This letter serves to update the docket relative to this prior commitment.
