The District submitted proposed Technical Specifications for single loop l

operation with Reference 1.

Revised Technical Specifications were sub-sequently submitted with Reference 2.

Since that time there have been j

numerous discussions on this issue at the request of the Staff.

Per the Staff's request, enclosed are updated Technical Specification pages from our August 5, 1980 submittal which incorporate the Staff requests and all recent license amendments through Amendment 80.

Additionally, in a telephone conversation July 22, 1982, the Staff requested assurance that the changes in setpoints which will result from the enclosed Technical Specifications will be made properly.

Station Procedure 10.1 "APRM Calibration" has been reviewed, approved and utilized extensively over the years at CNS.

This procedure was recently modified to include a modification for APRM gain adjustment to account for the difference between effective drive flow for single loop and two loop operation. This modification simply involves adding a term.66AW to the APRM readings. After completion of the APRM adjustment, the results are reviewed by the Shift Supervisor and the CNS Engineering Department.

This procedure ensures the necessary adjustments are performed properly.

The District once again respectively requests expeditious issuance of these Technical Specifications so that future Emergency Technical C7/
