Dear Sir:

In the above cited Reference, Florida Power Corporation (FPC) submitted Relief Request (RR)

  1. 11-001-MX, Revision 0 to suspend the Containment Surveillance Schedule for concrete and unbonded post-tensioning system examinations during the CR-3 containment repair.

By this correspondence, FPC hereby provides a commitment to submit a proposal for alternatives to the requirements in ASME Section XI sub-Section IWL in accordance with 50.55a(a)(3)(i) to establish the surveillance program for the CR-3 repaired containment concrete and unbonded post-tensioning system. 'This subsequent relief request will be submitted one year prior to the completion of the CR-3 containment repair. The commitment is provided in the Enclosure to this letter.
