Crystal River Unit 3 Day Notification Prior to First Storage of Spent Nuclear Fuel in the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation

Dear Sir:

In accordance with 10 CFR 72.212(b)(1), Duke Energy Florida, LLC (DEF), is notifying the NRG at least 90 days prior to the first storage of spent fuel at the Crystal River Unit 3 (CR-3)

Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI). The loading of spent fuel into Transnuclear NUHOMS storage casks will be under the CR-3 general license. Loading activities are currently scheduled to commence on or about June 15, 2017.
