Revised Schedule Ca'culation Of Hydroaen Recombiner Heater Performance j

The purpose of this letter is to provide our revised schedule for the completion of

{

corrective actions previously committed to in Licensee Event Report 97-011-00, i

"Hydroaen Recombiner Heaters Potentially Outside Of Dosion Basis Under l

Dearaded Voltaae Conditions". This extension is necessitated as a direct result i

of providing the incorrect parameters to Boeing /Rocketdyne with which to perform the calculations committed to within our letter of February 28,1997.

The design parameters provided were based on the original sub-atmospheric j

pressure containment design. These parameters changed as a result of an increase in containment operating pressure authorized under Amendment 59.

Our revised commitments are provided in Attachment 1.

l Should you have any questions regarding this matter please contact Mr.

David A. Smith at (860) 437-5840.

Very truly yours, 1
