Baker, at 0940 hours0.0109 days <br />0.261 hours <br />0.00155 weeks <br />3.5767e-4 months <br /> on Ha'rch 8, 1977, In that conversation we reported the unplanned release of low level radioactive gas from the plant durihg the period of time from 0000 hours0 days <br />0 hours <br />0 weeks <br />0 months <br /> on March 5, 1977, to 1600 Pours on March 7, 1977.

At the time of the telephpne report we were of the opinion that this was reportable only in accordance with Regulatory Guide 1. 16, Revision 4, Section 4.

Mr. Baker concurred with this opinion.

Subsequent, discussion with Hr. Baker and NRC RO: III Inspector, Hr. D.E. Hiller on Hay 10, 1977; pointed out that this was reportable as an Abnormal Environmental Occurrence in accordance with Appendix B Technical. Specifications Sections

1. 1.2 and 2.4.4.e and Table 2.4-2 because the gas was not sampled and analyzed prior to release.

A complete report of this event will be submitted by March 17, 1977, as required by Appendix B Technical Specifications Section 5.4.2.1.
