Description

10 CFR 50 Appendix B, Criterion III, Design Control requires, in part, that design changes, including field changes, shall be subject to design control measures commensurate to those applied to the original design. Contrary to the above, on August 30, 2008 the licensee installed a design change to the 1B ESW pump exhaust line without adequately evaluating each element of that change commensurate to the evaluations applied to the original design. This violation is of very low safety significance because the screen was removed. This violation was entered into the licensees CAP as CR 107948.
