| Description | Criterion XV, Nonconforming Materials, Parts, or Components, Appendix B, to 10 CFR Part 50, requires that measures shall be established to control materials, parts, or components which do not conform to requirements in order to prevent their inadvertent use or installation. These measures shall include, as appropriate, procedures for identification, documentation, segregation, disposition, and notification to affected organizations. Nonconforming items shall be reviewed and accepted, rejected, repaired or reworked in accordance with documented procedures. Contrary to the above, during the 2008 Unit 2 Refueling Outage 21, the licensee installed two Rosemount pressurizer level transmitters (2460 and 2461) that had not been identified by the licensee as being part of a 10 CFR Part 21 notification in response to NRC Bulletin Nos. 90-01 and 90-01, Supplement 1, regarding a loss of fill-oil. This violation is of very low safety significance because the pressure level transmitter was still operable and within the performance criteria for measuring pressurizer level. This violation was entered into the licensees corrective action program as CR 105348. |
