NG-13-0391, dated October 9, 2013In Reference 1 above, your staff transmitted the results of an inspection of aMarch 8, 2013 failure of the 'A' Standby Diesel Generator lube oil heat exchanger gasket. The inspection identified a finding that was determined preliminarily to bea significance of White. In Reference 2 above, NextEra Energy Duane Arnold,LLC (NextEra) requested a regulatory conference to present NextEra's perspective on the facts, assumptions, and significance regarding the proposedfinding.
In accordance with Inspection Manual Chapter (IMC) 0609, Significance Determination
- Process, this letter transmits additional information to beconsidered when determining the significance of the finding.
