Submittal of Three Mile Island Unit 2 (Docket 72-20) Safety Analysis Update Report 72-20/2017-12 (EM-NRC-17-012)

Dear Sir or Madam:

Pursuant to 10 CPR 72.70, the Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) has effected changes to the Safety Analysis Report (SAR) for the Three Mile Island Unit 2 (TMI-2) Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI).

The DOE-ID ISFSI Licensing Manager certifies that the changes described in the enclosure accurately represent TMI-2 ISFSI SAR changes made since the previous update submitted March 13, 2015. Per 10 CPR 72.48 and TMI-2 ISFSI Technical Specifications 5.5.1 and 5.5.2, the enclosure reports no changes, tests or experiments were enacted since the previous biennial report submitted March 13, 2015, including no changes to the ISFSI Radiological Environmental Monitoring

Program, Training

Program, and the Quality Assurance Program.
