PROPOSED CHANGE NO. 109 TO THE SAN ONOFRE UNIT NO. 1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS By letter dated April 5, 1982 you submitted proposed Change No. 109 to the San Onofre Unit No. l.3echnical Specifications. The proposed change would-modify the minimum allowable pHi acceptance criteria for performance verification testing of the containment sump post-accident pHL control system.
Based on our evaluation, we conclude that the proposed Technical Specification change is -rot acceptable because it does not meet the minimum pH requirement for containment spray and recirculating solution. The NRC staff's related Safety evaluation is enclosed.
