RE:
ST.
LUCIE UNIT 1 DOCKET NO. 50-335 INSPECTION REPORT 81&9 FINDING:
Florida Power
& Light (FPGL) Company's report "Fire Protection A
Reevaluation of Existing Plant Design Features and Administrative Controls" of March 1977, Section 6.2.2 and Table 6-2, indicates the amount of fire hose and other accessories to be stored in the fire hydrant equipment houses located throughout the plant for protection of safety related systems and components.
Contrary to the above, equipment houses FH1 and FH3 were equipped April 8, 1981 with 100 feet of 1 1/2 inch fire hose, whereas Table 6-2 states that 200 feet of 1 1/2 inch fire hose was to be provided.
RESPONSE
1.
Houses FH1 and FH3 now have 200 feet of 1 1/2 inch hose each.
2.
People responsible for inventory of fire equipment have received instructions to preclude repetition of this problem.
3.
Corrective action was completed on May 20, 1981.
