3.3.2.1 Reported Under Technical Specification:

6.9.1.13.b Date of Occurrence: 6/22/80 and 6/24/80 Time of Occurrence:

1450 CDT and 1432 CD'.

Identification and Description of Occurrence:

In both casen, while in Mode 3, the unit operator observed the indicator, 1-L1-3-51, to be approximately 10% higher than the other two redundant indicators.

Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

Mode 3 Actions specificd in the Technical Specifications Surveillance Requirements met due to inoperable equipment.

3.3.2.1 Action 16 the channel was placed in a tripped condition within 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br />.

Apparent Cause of Occurrence:

The transmitter located on panel L-182 in fan room 2 failed to maintain calibration at its operating pressure.

Analysis of Occurrence:

Defective transmitter. There wcs no safety hazard to the public as a result of this occurrence. This is the first report of this defect.

Corrective Action

The defective transmitter was replaced. The new transmitter was calibrated and its time response tested. The corrective action was completed in 39 hours4.513889e-4 days <br />0.0108 hours <br />6.448413e-5 weeks <br />1.48395e-5 months <br />.
