This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.
Purpose:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will conduct a scoping process to gather information necessary to prepare an environmental impact statement to evaluate the environmental impacts for the potential license renewal of the operating license for Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1. The NRC is seeking stakeholder input on this action and has scheduled a public scoping meeting that will take place in Perry, OH.

Open house: The meeting will begin at 6:30PM ET. It will be preceded by an open house session to begin at 5:30PM, for members of the public to converse informally with NRC staff. Matters related to participation in any hearing are outside the scope of matters to be discussed at this public meeting. While comments will be accepted during the court reporter transcribed meeting, comments will not be accepted during the open house session.
