ANNUAL PERSONNEL EXPOSURE REPORT J

Technical Specification 6.9.1.2.a requires a tabulation on an annual basis of the number of station, utility, and other personnel (including contractors) receiving exposures greater than 100 mrem /yr according to work and job functions. This data is based on self-reading dosimetry results and is presented on page two of this attachment. Specific tasks  ;

1. The South Texas Project site includes two 1250 Mw, Westinghouse Pressurized i Water Reactors.
2. During 1996, Unit I completed its sixth refueling outage in 22 days.
3. Special maintenance performed in 1996 included the following:

a) Primary inspections on all Unit I steam generators.

b) ' Secondary inspections and sludge lancing on all Unit I steam generators.

c) Templating in preparation for replacement of Unit I steam generators.

d) Reactor coolant pump seal replacement in Unit 1.

e) Reactor coolant pump interferences removed for two pumps to prepare for pump removalin Unit 1.

4. The estimated exposure described in this report is based on electronic dosimeter (Alnor) values.  ;
