The Commission met to discuss use of HEU at research reactors (see EDO transmittal of 2/1/84, revised 2/3/84).
The Commission directed OPE.to prepare for Commission review:
- a. a staff requirements memorandum'shich would integrate the June 21, 1983 and the February 3, 1984 memoranda 4
(option A.a) giving staff direction on development of a proposed rule on HEU at domestic research reactors; and ,
- b. an SRM requesting that staff review interim security measures-at domestic research reactors and submit recommendations to the Commission on options for
, handling rulemaking and the time frame required.
