FORTHCOMING LICENSE RENEWAL MEETING BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) STAFF AND FLORIDA POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY (FPL) TO DISCUSS RESPONSES TO REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING THE ST. LUCIE, UNITS 1 AND 2 DATE & TIME: Thursday, August 15, 2002 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Friday, August 16, 2002 8:30 a.m. - 10:05 a.m. (tentative)

LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11545 Rockville Pike, Room O-12B2 Rockville, Maryland 20852 PURPOSE: The meeting will allow discussions between the NRC staff and representatives from FPL on license renewal activities for St. Lucie, Units 1 and 2. Specifically, discussions will focus the applicants response to NRC staffs request for additional information regarding the application for renewed operating licenses. A proposed agenda for the meeting is attached. Information on the license renewal process is available on the NRC web page www.nrc.gov .

  • This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.
