Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit i Docket No. 50-313 License No. DPR-51 Technical Specifications Change Request Concerning Reactor Building Net Free Volume Gentlemen:

Attached for your review and approval is a proposed Technical Specifications (TS) change  :

revising the value for the internal volume of the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 (ANO-1) reactor building specified in TS 5.2.1. Also, the wording of the specification has been changed to clarify that the volume specified is the net free volume of the reactor building. The change to the specified volume is the result of a more accurate calculation of the reactor i building net free volume. .

The proposed change has been evaluated in accordance with 10CFR.50.91(a)(1) using criteria in 10CFR50.92(c) and it has been determined that this change involves no significant hazards considations. The bases for these determinations are included in the attached submittal.  ;

Entergy Operations requests that the effective date for this change be immediately upon NRC i issuance of the amendment. Although this request is neither exigent nor emergency, your  !

prompt review is requested.
