FITZPATRICK PLANT Good Afternoon Ms. Azulay, I am writing you in regards to the 2.206 petition you submitted regarding containment ventilation at the James A. FitzPatrick Plant. I will be issuing a letter regarding this petition in the near future. However, I want to make you aware of an upcoming public Commission meeting in the event that the letter is not issued prior to this public meeting. Next Tuesday (11/17/15) from 9AM - noon (EDT) there is a public meeting/webcast regarding the Briefing on the Status of Lessons Learned from the Fukushima Dia-Ichi Accident. At this meeting the NRC staff will discuss its recommendations on the path forward for certain Fukushima related items including containment ventilation and hydrogen control and mitigation, which are discussed in your petition. Again, I wanted to inform you of this public meeting in case the letter is not issued prior to the public meeting.
