John, You asked some time ago for some additional information for Tom Youngblood. I had put together the information, but I think Christmas happened, and it never got sent to you. I am sorry for the delay.

The questions were about the sample data and calculations to support the gross activity DCGLs.

The calculations are contained in the technical basis documents as highlighted, in the attached document indicating what has been submitted. If you need another copy of any of the DTBD's I will be happy to get that to you. Just let us know if you want it hard-copy or e-mailed to you.

The detailed sample data resides on site. We have collected the characterization data that was analyzed offsite into a DTBD, but it is quite large and contains hard-copies of the vendor data and is not easily submitted electronically. I would suggest onsite review of this information.

During the last ORISE site visit, there was some discussion on Mr. Youngblood making a site visit coinciding with the next ORISE site visit. Perhaps during that visit, I can have someone go over sample data and sample results with Tom. Any insight into what Tom would like to review would help us prepare better to make his visit as productive as possible.

Do you have any plans at this point for Tom to make a site visit in the near future?

Also, we will be submitting the next set of packages soon, probably next week. You had asked about tracking the actual dose impacts of the survey units, and we are keeping a running spreadsheet. Would you like to see a current copy? I believe the concerns to be focused on soil activity levels, and we have not submitted any land areas yet, nor will we in the second submittal.

Regarding the first submittal: any feedback is welcome, we do want your reviews to be as painless as possible. I am reviewing each of the packages before they go out, so I know "painless" is a relative term!

Again, my apologies for the delay. Please let Bob or myself know if you need any further information.
