Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATIN: Document Control Desk Washington, D.C. 20555-0001 Florida Power and Light Company Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Docket Nos. 50-250 and 50-251 Transmittal of Meteorological Data CD Supporting Alternative Source Term and Conforming License Amendment Request 196 -Supplemental Information The purpose of this letter is to provide the information recommended by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in Regulatory Issue Summary (RrS) 2006-04, Experience with Implementation of Alternative Source Terms. This information supplements the Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 Alternative Source Term (AST) License Amendment Request (LAR) 196 previously submitted to the NRC by Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) letter L-2009-133 dated June 25, 2009. Enclosed is a compact disc (CD) that includes Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 meteorological data. The CD is titled: Turkey Point LAR 196, Meteorological Data, FPL letter L-2009-l63.
As recommended by the NRC, the data encompasses a five year period from January 2003 through December 2007 and it is provided in two formats. The Format 1 files include original raw meteorological data as provided by the data collection program. The Format 2 files contain the original data reformatted for input to ARCON96IP A VAN. In addition, the CD contains supplemental plant information including the Turkey Point release-receptor information and plant layout drawings. .
