==Dear Mr. Shams:==

The Nuclear Energy Institutes (NEI) and its members request an extension to the period of seeking public comments on the Draft Interim Staff Guidance, Review of Risk-Informed, Technology Inclusive Advanced Reactor Applications - Roadmap. Providing high quality responses to the roadmap, draft regulatory guide, and associated interim staff guidance documents within the 45-day comment period will be challenging for industry and other interested parties. NEI respectfully requests extending the comment period by 30 days to August 10th. This extension will provide sufficient time for stakeholders to coordinate and provide comments on this important topic.
Thank you for your consideration of this request. We respectfully request a response to this extension request by June 23. Please contact me if you have any questions or require additional information.
Sincerely, Benjamin Holtzman Program Advisor, New Reactors & Advanced Technology 1201 F Street, NW, Suite 1100 Washington, DC 20004 M: 202.230.1740 bah@nei.org
