The TR presents a methodology for the evaluation of the Anticipated Transient Without Scram with Instability (ATWS-I) for boiling water reactors (BWRs) using a recent version of the RAMONA5-FA methodology. | |||
The NRC staff determined that a regulatory audit was needed to allow the NRC staff to increase their level of knowledge and understanding of the topic and associated methodologies. The NRC staff performed a regulatory audit at Framatomes facility in Richland, Washington on June 11-13, 2018.
