By letter dated December 15, 2017 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML17355A231), Framatome Inc. (Framatome, formerly AREVA Inc.)

submitted for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review and approval Topical Report ANP-10346P, Revision 0, ATWS-I Analysis Methodology for BWRs Using RAMONA5-FA. Upon review of the information provided, the NRC staff has determined that additional information is needed to complete the review. On August 27, 2018, Alan Meginnis, Framatome Product Licensing Manager, and I agreed that the NRC staff will receive the response to the enclosed Request for Additional Information (RAI) questions within 30 days from the date of this letter.
