This workshop continued to refine and develop the draft common language document that resulted from the December 2011 workshop.

Significant progress was made and by the end of this workshop, all stakeholders agreed to a list of draft attributes and the associated definitions.

Next steps include the development of examples for all the attributes and a future workshop w'll be convened to discuss them.On April 17, Paul Gunter (Beyond Nuclear) and Jessica Azulay (Alliance for a Green Economy) addressed the Petition Review Board (PRB) at a public meeting regarding a 2.206 petition request to take emergency enforcement action against Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. with regard to the undue risk to the public health and safety caused by the continued operation of FitzPatrick.

The petitioners asserted that the pre-existing ductwork containment vent system is not installed with the proper hardened venting system needed for operation of Fit.Patrick.

Other petitioners addressing the PRB by phone included the Sierra Club (Atlantic Chapter), Citizen Awareness Network, and Citizen Environmental Coalition.

This petition was sqibmitted by 8 joint petitioners and approximately 300 co-petitioners.

A second meeting is planned.Ri, 0n April 19, Duke Energy announced that Jim Morris, Catawba Site Vice President, will retire o4 May 1. George Hamrick, current Station Manager, will assume the Site Vice President role oh an interim basis until the Duke Energy/Progress Energy merger is finalized and a permanent replacement is named.Irrom April 19 to 23, Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (NFS) in Erwin, TN may be subject to local demonstrations and protests coinciding with Earth Day. NFS has contacted local law enforcement authorities and is making preparations should a protest occur.2
