Flagged Shawn, Barry, The results of the composite effects of the revisions to the Farley Fire PRA model are significant. Additional refinements are necessary. Additional modifications to plant may be necessary for Unit 2 to lower the risk numbers. The detailed activities that are now required due to the revisions to the Fire PRA model are listed below. The main activities are the refinements to the models and the resulting revisions to the Fire Risk Evaluations (FREs). The results of the Fire PRA model composite effects will be provided by July 3 2014. Currently revisions to 159 FREs will be necessary and will require until August 29, 2014 to complete. This is an a ggressive schedule and SNC is pursuing improvements, if possible. The main activities necessary are:

  • Fire PRA model updates and refinements
  • Fire PRA documentation
  • Scenario report
  • Summary report
  • Revision to LAR Attachments S,V, and ire Risk Evaluation automation
  • FRE conversion to FSA
  • Data integrity checks
  • Fire Risk Evaluation drafts
  • Reviews and comment incorporation
  • Revisions to LAR Attachments C and G (note Attachment C is over 2000 pages) As shown above, the revisions to downstream documentation necessitated by the revisions to the Fire PRA model are extensive and necessary.

If you need any additional information on the schedule change, please let me know.
