Dear Mr. Campbell:

Thank you for your response of May 5,1997, to our Notice of violation issued ori March 31, 1997, concerning activities conducted at your Brunswick Steam Electric Plant facility. We have evaluated your response to Violations A D and F and found that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201.

However based on my discussion with Mr. Keith Jury on May 21, 1997, I understand that you intend to supplement your response to Violation E to include additional actions taken on this violation. The supplemental response will be due within 30 days of receipt of this letter. We will examine your supplemental response and the implementation of your corrective actions during future inspections We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
