Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

Per our December 27, 1979, letter on the subject deficiency, we informed you that approximately 195 plates had been reworked.

Twenty plates were still on QA hold pending repair and/or NDT examination and that the the date estimated for completion of corrective action was March 1, 1980.

The intent of this letter is to inform you that all corrective action has not yet been completed in that three plates still remain on QA hold pending completion of corrective action involving NDE.

Engineering evaluation of several embedded plates remains to be completed.

Also, final accountability for all plates needs to be resolved.

It is now estimated that all corrective action will be completed by June 1, 1980, at which time the final 10CFR50.55(e) report will be submitted.

We will routinely keep you appraised of our progress on this item during your site inspection visits.
