Turkey Point Unit 3 Docket No. 50-250 Preliminary White Finding (EA-06-200)
Regulatory Conference Schedule By letter dated August 24, 2006, the NRC issued the Turkey Point Nuclear Plant -NRC Inspection Report 05000250/2006015, documenting a preliminary white finding related to loss of power to an operating residual heat removal pump. The NRC letter provided Florida Power& Light Company (FPL) a choice to either submit a 30-day written response to the preliminary white finding or to request a regulatory conference to be held within 30 days. In response to the NRC letter, FPL verbally requested that a regulatory conference be held October 10, 2006 to present the NRC with additional information related to the finding. FPL recognizes that the proposed date is outside the 30 day window requested by your letter. The purpose of this letter is to confirm the date of October 10, 2006, as being acceptable to FPL. The proposed conference date will provide the necessary time to properly prepare relevant material prior to the conference to ensure a productive meeting. If there are any questions regarding this request, please contact James Connolly at (305) 246-6632.Very truly yours, Terry 0.
