EP-202-6 OSC Habitability Guidelines

/CfION LEVEL Activate the Operations Suoport Centers when an event has been classified as an Alert, Site Eaergency or General anergency.

PRhrAUTIONS 1.

Maintain an official log of pertinent actions using the designated OSC's log books.

2.

Verify habitability of Operations Supoort Centers in accoccance with Apoendix EP-202-6.

Initiate air s u pling u n activation of facilities.

3.

Two Operations Succort Centers exist.

IFtEDL1TE ACTIONS 1.0 Interim Ehergency Director shan:

1.1 Assign operator as the OSC Coordinator.

If available, an coerator with supervisory experience (SSV or Shif t. Suot. tvoe) should be used or caned in per Appendix P of EP-209 can list to man this position.

2.0 Radiation Protection Team Leader shall:

2.1 Assign HP as Aux OSC Coordinator and ensure Aux OSC is manned with Health Physics personnel.

3.0 operations Support Center Coordinators or designees shall:

3.1 Assign an individual the duties of Ooerations Suoport Center Cmmunicator and Status Board Keeper. Ensure that a log is available

for the comunicator's use.

3.2 Direct the Operations Sucoort Center Ccanunicator and Status Board Keeper to verify operability of the cornunication systems as outlined in the attached Apoendices.

(See Atx:endix EP-202-2 for Aux. OSC and Apoendix EP-202-1 for the Shif t 09C).

3.3 Notify the Control Room when their resoective Operations Support Center is manned and that ccrrunications are satisfactory or unsatisfactory.

3.4 Procure equipnent and supolies necessary to assist in mitigating the j

energency.

3.5 Assign an individual to periodically verify habitability of their respective Operations Support Center adhering to the guidelines in Appendix EP-202-6. Report results of this verificationn to the Shift Stperintendent.

4.3 Iog all certinent actions in the designated log book to maintain a formal record of all events pertinent to the OSC.

FOIliAHJP ACTIOt4S 1.0 Operaticns Support Center Coordinators or designees shall:

1.1 Remain in contact with the Control Room or the Technical Supoort Center in order to provide assistance as needed by formulation of thergency Teams.

1.2 Direct personnel entering and leavim their respective coerations supoort Center to log in usim the official log or the status boards.

1.3 Coordinate activities of their respective OSC. The coerator OSC should coordinate with the Control Room and designated maintenance personnel to ensure local permits are promptly ccupleted to allow repair work if necessary. The Aux. 09C should coordinate with the TSC, Control Room, and all energency team oersonnel to ensure procer HP sucoort for all activities in the plant.

In these cases, the HP will serve as the R.W.

l.4 Upon leaving their respective Ooerations Supoort Center for any reason, delegate his duties to the remaining senior coerator or technician.

1.5 Itaintain working knowledge of radiation exoosure each member of their respective OSC is receiving in order to maintain AIARA conceots during the emergency.

2.0 Operations Support Center eersonnel shall:

2.2 Ensure proper self-monitoring of their own pocket dosimeters when performing tasks during the emergency.
