Hope Creek Generating Station Docket No. 50-354 License Amendment Request H09-01 Supporting the Use of Cobalt-60 Isotope Test Assemblies (Isotope Generation Pilot Program)PSEG Nuclear LLC submitted the proposed change to the Hope Creek Operating License by letter to the NRC dated December 21, 2009. The proposed change modifies License Condition 2.B.(6) and creates new License Conditions 1 .J and 2.B.(7) as part of a pilot programto irradiate Cobalt (Co)-59 targets to produce Co-60 in the Hope. Creek reactor during power operation.
PSEG Nuclear LLC submitted the proposed change to the Hope Creek Operating License by letter to the NRC dated December 21, 2009. The NJ DEP met with PSEG personnel and management responsible for this program to better understand the changes involved.

We will review the results of the cycle specific analyses that have not been completed and are committed to be provided by July 8,2010. We also recommend that the following sentence be added to the proposed revision to Technical Specification Section 5.3.1 for completeness: Details of the GE14i assemblies are contained in NEDC-33529P, "Safety Analysis Report to Support Introduction of GE l4i Isotope Test Assemblies (ITAs) in Hope Creek Generating Station," Revision 0, dated* December 200.9.
