Re: St. Lucie Unit 2 Docket No. 50-389 Payment of Civil Penalty Notice of Violation EA 91-062 By letter dated June 26, 1991 (S. D. Ebneter to J. H. Goldberg),

the NRC forwarded to Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) a notice of violation and imposed on FPL a civil penalty as-a result of an event at St. Lucie Unit 2. By letter L-91-193, dated July- 11, 1991, FPL submitted a reply to that not'ice of violation.

As required by the notice of violation, on July 23, 1991, FPL electronically transmitted to the NRC.the fine amount of $ 37,500, payable to the Treasurer of the United States. NRC receipt of this civil penalty payment was confirmed in conversation between Janet Rodriguez of the NRC staff and Jerry Bernard of FPL on July 23, 1991.
