- Minnesota (NSPM, the licensee), doing business as Xcel Energy, Inc., submitted a license amendment request (LAR) for the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant (Monticello). NSPM proposes to revise or add Surveillance Requirements associated with the Monticello Technical Specifications to verify that system locations susceptible to gas accumulation are sufficiently filled with water and to provide allowances which permit performance of these verifications.
The aforementioned changes are being made to address NRC Generic Letter 2008-01, Managing Gas Accumulation in Emergency Core Cooling, Decay Heat Removal, and Containment Spray Systems.
