In accordance with 10 CFR Part 50.64, Limitations on the Use of Highly Enriched Uranium in Domestic Non-Power Reactors, you arc hereby notified that Federal funding, under the Department of Energy (DOE) University Reactor Fuel Assistance Program for the conversion of the University of Wisconsin Research Reactor from highly-enriched uranium (HEU) to low-cnriched uranium (LEU)fuel, will not be available during fiscal year (FY) 2007.As discussed with you and your staff in October 2005, plans call for the conversion of the Wisconsin Research Reactor to LEU in FY 2009.Sincerely, John Gutteridge University Programns'Director
