==Dear Sir or Madam:==
I, Durossert D. Clerval, am writing to express my support for the relicensing of Indian Point Units 2 and 3 in Buchanan, NY. It is my understanding that the NRC is considering numerous issues in connection with the license renewal application, including the potential for alternative energy sources Indian Point is an important source of base load energy, and it emits virtually no greenhouse gasses. It supplies between 25% and 30% of the electricity for New York City and the lower Westchester County area, at a reasonable cost, while supporting the reliability of the electric grid. The facility employs about 1,100 full-time workers and it contributes hundreds of millions of dollars in economic impact to the region.
Various alternative energy sources have been proposed over the years, but none of them would be an acceptable substitute for Indian Point. Last year, the City of New I
York's Department of Environmental Protection released the results of a study performed by Charles River Associates. That independent study demonstrated that any alternative to Indian Point would be higher-priced, would reduce air quality, and would reduce the reliability of the electric grid.
I strongly encourage you to issue a renewed license for Indian Point once you have completed your technical reviews of the facility. Thank you.
Sincerely yours, Durossert D. Clerval 2}}

Dear Sir or Madam:

Thank you.

Sincerely yours, Durossert D. Clerval 2
