SUBJECT:

COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES) l DOCKET NO. 50-445 l ELECTRICAL RACEWAY SUPPORT SYSTEM SDAR: CP-85-31 (INTERIM REPORT)

Dear Mr. Johnson:

On August 27, 1985, we verbally notified your Mr. D. Hunnicutt of a deficiency involving the impact on the electrical raceway support system due to additional weight imposed by the installation of separation barrier and radiant energy shield material. This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). We have submitted interim reports logged TXX-4564, TXX-4599, and TXX-4672, dated September 19, 1985, October 16, 1985, and January 22, 1986, respectively.

This issue is currently being evaluated under CPRT Program Plan Item VIII.

Ebasco has consolidated all electrical raceway items (cable trays, conduit, and supports) under the scope of a single program which is scheduled to be completed in September, 1986. We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate j submitting our next report by October 21, 1986. '

Very truly yours, f%
