Dear Mr. Johnson:
On July 19, 1985, we verbally notified your Mr. D. Powell of a deficiency regarding the Unit 1 steam generator upper lateral restraint embedment design.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provi-sions of 10CFR50.55(e). We have submitted interim reports logged TXX-4532, TXX-4626, TXX-4671, and TXX-4822, dated August 9, 1985, November 20, 1985, January 22, 1986, and May 23, 1986, respectively.
The concern is being evaluated under the CPRT Program Plan Item V.b.
We anticipate submitting our next report by August 15, 1986.
