Dear Mr. Johnson:
On July 19, 1985, we verbally notified your Mr. D. Powell of a deficiency regarding the Unit 1 steam generator upper lateral restraint embedment design.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). We have submitted interim reports TXX-4532 and TXX-4626, dated August 9, 1985, and November 20, 1985, respec-tively.
This concern is oeing evaluated under CPRT Program Plan Item V b and is scheduled for resolution by May 2, 1986.
We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate completion of our final report by May 23, 1986.
