"Certificate of Compliance No. 1014, Amendment No. 9, Revision No. 1 for the HI-STORM 100 Cask Systern (TAC No. L24935)," dated March 21, 2016 In References 1 through 6, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) registered the use of 11 casks under the general license to store spent fuel at Braidwood Station (Braidwood), as required by 10 CFR 72.212, "Conditions of general license issued under §72.210," paragraph (b)(2). These casks were loaded and processed in accordance with Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1014, Amendment No. 9.

In the Reference 7 letter, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) transmitted CoC No.

1014, Amendment No. 9, Revision No. 1, including Appendices A and B (i.e., "Technical Specifications" and "Approved Contents and Design Features," respectively), and the associated NRC Safety Evaluation Report (SER) to Holtec International (i.e., the cask vendor and CoC Holder).

As stated in Reference 7, Revision No. 1 to CoC No. 1014, Amendment No. 9 supersedes CoC No. 1014, Amendment No. 9. In Reference 7, the NRC also indicated that Holtec and general licensed users of CoC No. 1014, Amendment No. 9 should incorporate changes or perform applicable site evaluations due to Revision No. 1 in accordance with 10 CFR 72.212 no later than 180 days from March 21, 2016 (i.e., September 17, 2016).

On September 14, 2016, EGC completed the evaluations necessary to apply CoC No. 1014, Amendment No. 9, Revision No. 1 to 11 previously loaded casks at the Braidwood independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI). As required by 10 CFR 72.212(b)(4), EGC is registering the application of CoC No. 1014, Amendment No. 9, Revision No. 1 for 11 casks that were previously loaded to CoC No. 1014, Amendment No. 9 at the Braidwood ISFSI. This registration is required to be submitted within 30 days. Accordingly, this submittal is due by October 14, 2016.
