The statements provided in the attachment'are provided for Nuclear Regulatory Commission informational use and are not considered regulatory commitments. This information is applicable to future shipments of irradiated reactor fuel leaving from H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit No. 2.

North Carolina accepted by verbal communication with a Progress Energy representative on October 10, 2001.
4. Specify the system .to be used for real-time position tracking.

A satellite-based global positioning system (GPS) will be used. Technical details pertaining to the GPS system are contained in the Progress Energy Spent Fuel Shipment Physical Security Plan.
