Victor Dricks, 817-200-1128 NRC Names New Senior Resident Inspector at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Plant The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Timothy Steadham as its senior resident inspector at the Grand Gulf nuclear power plant located in Port Gibson, Miss.

Steadham joined the NRC in 2002 as a project engineer in the NRCs Region III office in Lisle, Ill., and has held progressively more responsible positions including resident inspector, senior construction project engineer, and senior construction inspector in the Region II office in Atlanta. He holds a bachelors degree in nuclear engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri - Rolla).

Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant has at least two resident inspectors. Steadham joins resident inspector Neil Day at Grand Gulf. They serve as the agencys eyes and ears at the facility, conduct inspections, monitor plant operations and significant work projects, and interact with plant employees and the public.
