Diane Screnci, 610-337-5330 Neil Sheehan, 610-337-5331 NRC Names New Resident Inspector at R.E. Ginna Nuclear Plant The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Jason Schussler as the resident inspector at the R.E. Ginna nuclear power plant in Ontario, N.Y. He joins Senior Resident Inspector Neil Perry at the Exelon-operated facility.

Jason Schussler will nicely complement the work of Neil Perry at Ginna. He has training, experience and a strong commitment to safety, and will help ensure the plant meets NRCs stringent safety regulations, said NRC Region I Administrator Dan Dorman.

Schussler joined the NRCs Region I office in King of Prussia as a project engineer in 2015 and has completed a rigorous inspector qualification program. He previously worked as a mechanical engineering supervisor at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y.

Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant has at least two Resident Inspectors. They conduct inspections, monitor significant work projects, and interact with plant workers and the public.
