EARTHQl'AKE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA An carthquake with a richter magnitude of 5.0 occurred on June 5, 1992, at approximately 3:00 p.m. PDT. The earthquake was centered about 32 miles southwest of the Humboldt Pay Power Plant (HBPP) which has been shutdown since 1976 and is in a SAFSTOR decomissioning status.

The earthquake was felt at the facility. Plant walkdowns were performed and no problems were noted.
