BRUSH FIRE ON. SITE PROPERTY ONE-FOURTH MILE FROM PLANT About 12 noon CDT on October 1.1999, a brush fire was reported on the
. licensee's site in an unused area one-fourth to one-half mile from the plant itself. There are no buildings or equipment in the area where the !
fire occurred. l The Massac County Fire Department responded with two trucks and a tanker and extinguished the fire in about one hour.' The licensee reported that the fire burned grass and brush.in an area about 100 yards wide and one-fourth mile long beside a rail line. Rail traffic was stopped because hose lines were stretched across the tracks. The fire department is j investigating the cause of the fire.
Plant operations were not .affected by the fire. j
