This is a Open meeting. Public participation is actively sought for this meeting to fully engage the public in a discussion of regulatory issues.

Purpose:

To engage with the public to explain the NRC staffs regulatory approach to proposing to amend its regulations on categorical exclusions for licensing, regulatory, and administrative actions that individually or cumulatively do not have a significant effect on the human environment. To describe the rulemaking, and to answer questions to facilitate meaningful comments on the proposed rule.

Comments:

This is an Information Meeting with a Question-and-Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
