Envisioning the National Materials Program of the Future Date(s) and Time(s): December 12, 2022, 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM ET Location: Webinar Category: This is an Information Meeting with a Question and Answer Session. The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting is to provide an overview of observations and considerations for the future of the National Materials Program assuming an increasing number of Agreement States. A joint U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Agreement State working group is identifying impacts and recommendations for the future structure and function of the National Materials Program. During this meeting, the working group will discuss the continued need for consistency and collaboration across the National Materials Program in addition to sustaining fair and equitable fee structures for remaining NRC materials licensees.
